HISTORY

Heicor was founded in 2016

After running his own local appliance sales and service business, Glen Heiner began in the wood industry as a service rep for Wood-Mizer. He quickly came to love the industry and grew to become one of the top Wood-Mizer Industrial sales agents.

Glen left Wood-Mizer to join one of the largest fiber producers in the Northwest as a consultant in small log processing. A few years later, he founded his own specialty woodworking business, serving high end clients in the NW Oregon/SW Washington area.

Kevin Corder spent much of his career with Wood-Mizer Products, starting as a machinist soon after the first Wood-Mizer sawmill ever produced was sold. He was the first Customer Service Manager, and opened the first Wood-Mizer branch office in Oregon. Moving back to the corporate office a few years later, he grew in management roles to become Vice President of Industrial Products.

In 2009 Kevin formed International Wood Products Machinery, working with several well-known wood products machinery manufacturers to increase export sales. In 2012 he returned to Oregon and it was there he reconnected with Glen from working together when they were both at Wood-Mizer. They decided to work again as business partners and formed Heicor Enterprises.

Starting as a used machinery seller, some of the industry contacts developed over decades by Corder and Heiner showed interest in more local, specialized representation of their products. After several of these companies agreed to partner with Heicor, their efforts shifted more towards new machinery sales.

Today, Heicor serves customers on the west coast as manufacturer’s representatives or dealers for nine major companies, and have working relationships with many more. By analyzing our customer’s needs and determining the best way to reach a production goal, those affiliations allow us to provide unique solutions that our customers can rely on for years to come.
